This coffee also comes from finca Los Flores which is run by Johan and his family. They are very dedicated producers and are always trying to be innovative with the way they produce coffees. They are young producers. We have developed a good working relationship with them.
We recently used one of Johan’s coffees for competition and this is another premium lot from Jhoan. We are very excited to have even more of Jhoan’s coffee, and feature a different varietal. This coffee is washed after an extended fermentation with lactic acid bacteria. This creates more complex flavours and exceptional depth in the palate. It has been thermal shocked and has been flavour-locked on a special drying machine which makes this coffee very special and delicious. This coffee is a red bourbon and tastes like cherry blossom, grapes, and bergamot. It's very floral, fruity, and delicate in character. Taste both coffees from Jhoan side by side for a really unique experience!
